Dr. Farrukh A Sheikh is a Specialist Clinical Microbiologist/Infectious Diseases in Czech Rehabilitation Hospital Al Ain United Arab Emirates. He joined IML lab since September 2022.

FCPS Microbiology (Pak), MRCP Internal Medicine (UK), MRCPS Internal Medicine (Glasg), DCPath Clinical Pathology (Lond).

Dr. Farrukh A Sheikh completed his post graduate training in the field of internal medicine, clinical pathology and microbiology from Pakistan and United Kingdom. He has vast experience of working in various hospital laboratories of Pakistan, United Kingdom, Oman, and United Arab Emirates. In his last assignment, he served as a head of clinical laboratory & chair of Infection Control committee Al Ain Hospital.
His major areas of interest are rapid laboratory diagnosis of infectious diseases, management of hospital infectious outbreaks, prevention of healthcare associated infection and patient safety. He has number of international publications to his credit.
